Rotaract Training Camp 2017
There’s a lot involved in Rotaract and it’s smooth running, but who would have ever guessed. Thanks to Rotaract Australia NSW and ACT Rotaract Clubs attended a Training Camp we better understand our roles and most importantly understand our members.
Remember the fun we all had on school camp as kids and if only we could have that much fun as young adults…well, we lived the dream! We stayed up late playing giant Jenga, card games and telling ghost stories with all our new friends. It’s not all fun and game though….
At the Bluegum Lodge in Springwood in the beautiful blue mountains, for 2 days we lived and breathed camp life and Rotaract, embedding into every thought in our day. Representing Burwood was Alex as incoming secretary, Puneeth as incoming co-treasurer and Justine as incoming vice president.
The seminars, break out sessions and group discussions were key to the entire weekend.
- understanding the board structure and how to effectively adjust those structures
- setting up committees to involve all members in areas they passionate about
- developing strong bonds with Rotary Clubs
- outline strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to our club
What an amazing opportunity we were given to develop a strong and successful club for the future. Thank you to The Rotary Club of Burwood for their financial support for Alex, Puneeth and Myself to be able to attend the weekend.
